Airport Advisors

The IATA Airport Advisors programme aims at bringing airports and IATA Member airlines together in pursuit of one common objective: the efficiency of the air transport industry.

Making the right decisions through collaboration

Sound decisions are most often the result of a collaborative effort, a fact that rings very true in the air transport industry, where the challenges faced by airport operators worldwide are not unlike those faced by other industry players.

This is why all airports ― whether international or regional — can influence many of the initiatives pursued by IATA and its Member airlines. Their expertise, vision and experience is key to the development of solutions that will benefit all industry players and, in turn, the travelling public.

How does the programme work?

Membership is open to all privately and publicly managed airports. When you apply, you may choose to participate in one or more of the ten areas of involvement, also known as service areas. Within each area, various projects, work groups and task forces move specific issues forward, each with their own clearly defined objectives.

Participation in these activities will allow you to work closely with IATA Member airlines and their suppliers, the IATA Strategic Partners, acquire insight into industry developments, and build a broad network of international contacts. These are only a few of the privileges that come with your membership.

Application is done online. Once we have validated your registration to the service areas you have selected, you will receive access to the agendas, minutes and other documentation concerning specific committees and sub-committees, boards, working groups and task forces. For each of these groups’ meetings, you will be able to designate a participant to attend in an advisory capacity.
