Extremely interesting visit to Russia for our Regional Vice President! Aeroflot and the Russian market in general are currently showing important growth, with strong business confidence. In this positive context, Mr. Schvartzman met in Moscow with Mr. Vitaliy Saveliev, Aeroflot's CEO. Aeroflot has been an IATA Member for over 25 years, and a long standing Member of the Board.
At this meeting, a wide array of topics were discussed, including Aeroflot's 2018 priorities, New Distribution Capability, Digital Cargo, disruptive technologies, and Smarter Regulation. Two key aeropolitical Aeroflot senior executives took part in the meeting: Mrs. Natalia Teimurazova, Director External Affairs, and Mr. Alexey Sidorov, Councellor to the CEO on External Affairs and Alliances, and Delegate to the Industry Affairs Committee of IATA.
Mr. Saveliev performed a live demonstration of how Aeroflot uses state-of-the-art technology and big data on his personal tablet. He also had a surprise in store for Mr. Schvartzman, presenting him a certificate of merit and plaque for his outstanding contribution to serving the industry's needs in Europe.
