Airline Cost Conference (ACC)

The 2nd Airline Cost Conference is organized under the auspices of the Airline Operational Cost Task Force (AOCTF) - an IATA industry group focusing on matters concerning airline costs and measures to optimize them.

It offers a unique opportunity for airlines to discuss cost-related operational efficiencies, industry trends, and best practices. The main goal of ACC is to discuss ways to ultimately improve airlines’ cost management through efficiencies and synergies.

Conference highlights

The conference will features presentations by IATA's Chief Economist, Airline Executives, and other prominent speakers addressing airline cost management topics. The speakers and panels will focus on solutions (best practices) to improve cost structure in each respective area as well as harness synergies across them. The following topics covering all major cost groups (Fuel, Aircraft Ownership, Maintenance, Ground Operations, Crew, Sales) will be discussed:

  •  Industry's financial challenges and solutions to address them; how to address the industry's key cost drivers
  •  Results of AOCTF data collection for Financial Year 2013
  •  Practical use of AOCTF benchmark data to implement cost management measures in your airline
  • Best practices/real solutions on cost management & continuous improvement
  • Main trends in cost management initiatives and the way forward

In addition, on 25 August a one-day workshop will be organized on Operations Cost Control (OCC) and its key role in Airline Operations. Attendance is open and free to ACC participants.

Take advantage of the exclusivity of this event to promote your products and/or services to a captive audience. A hundred representatives mainly from airlines but also from OEMs, aircraft and engine lessors are expected to attend this event. In 2013 there were 70 attendees representing 33 airlines; mostly executives from strategic, financial, and cost control departments.
