Aer Lingus, Chief Executive

Willie Walsh (42) became Chief Executive of Aer Lingus in October 2001 and was appointed to the Board in November 2001. He joined Aer Lingus in 1979 as a cadet pilot and has held a number of senior positions including Chief Executive of Futura between 1998 and 2000. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive he held the position of Chief Operations Officer.
