He acquired the old Aeropostal from the government of Venezuela in 1996. Immediately, making Aeropostal the number one airline with yearly revenues of 300 million dollars.
Aeropostal now operates DC-9’s and MD-80’s aircraft.
He is a Director and shareholder in Aerohonduras in Honduras and Aeropostal Alas de Centroamérica, a low cost Costarican airline which will start operations in June, 2005.
He was elected as a member of the Board of Governors of IATA in 2004 and President of the Association of Airlines in Latinoamerica (AALA, Asociación Andina de Líneas Aéreas).
