Mr. Emilio Romano was appointed President of Mexicana de Aviación on March 22nd 2004. He has a Law Degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, graduating with Suma Cum Laude honors. He obtained an International Law Degree from the City of London Polytechnic.

From June 1995 to September 1998 Mr. Romano worked for Grupo Televisa, as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and new Business Development. He was later appointed as Vice-President of International Operations where he was responsible for all of Televisa´s operations outside of Mexico including Fonovisa (records), Protele (international programming distributor), Bay City Television, Skytel and co-managed Cablevisión, the largest cable network in Mexico.

From 1987 to November 1994, Mr. Romano served in many roles within the Mexican Ministry of Finance. In addition to his close involvement in the negotiation of NAFTA and the Mexico-United States Tax Treaty, he served as General Director of Revenue Policy and International Fiscal Affairs. Mr. Romano rounded out his experience at the Ministry of Finance Through an appointment as the nations Federal Fiscal Attorney at the Ministry of Finance Fiscal Affairs, serving in this post until March 1995. Mr. Romano has served as an independent advisor to several entertainment and media companies on restructuring and strategic planning and has been a member of the Board Directors of Univisión and Transportes Aeromar S.A. de C.V.

Emilio Romano was born in Mexico City, May 17, 1965, is married and has two daughters.
