Mr. Karl Heinz Burger is an active Captain on Airbus A330/340. He is qualified as Type Rating Trainer as well as Type Rating Examiner under JAR Regulations by the German Regulator.

Mr. Burger is a registered EAAP (European Association for Aviation Psychologists) Human Factors specialist. He was qualified as a professional Trainer by Lufthansa Flight Training GmbH and has developed and facilitated numerous Crew Resource Management as well as Train the Trainer Courses. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Burger was Assistant to the Postholder Training at Lufthansa German Airlines. In this position he was responsible for Human Factors and Emergency Training of Lufthansa’s Flight and Cabin Crews.

In January 2002, Mr. Burger was assigned Managing Director of Aviation Quality Services (AQS) GmbH, a 100% Subsidiary of Lufthansa Flight Training GmbH. In April 2003, AQS was endorsed by IATA as the first Training Organization (ETO) for the newly developed IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Programme. Since that time, AQS has trained more than 300 IOSA Auditors worldwide. In August 2003, AQS was accredited as the worlds first IOSA Audit Organization (AO). In September 2003, AQS successfully audited the first Airline according to the IOSA Standard.

Two years after the launch of the IOSA Programme, Aviation Quality Services GmbH has become the worlds leading IOSA Audit Organization, serving more than fifty customers on all five continents.
