Mats Jansson

President & CEO, SAS Group

On January 1, 2007, Mats Jansson assumed the position as President and CEO of the SAS Group.

Mats Jansson has studied economics and sociology at the University of Örebro. His background is in the field of consumer and business-to-business sectors including retailing, and since 1973 he has held several leading positions, including President and CEO of Catena/Bilia from 1994-1999 and President and CEO of the Fazer group from 1999-2000. In 2000 he took up the position as CEO and President of Axfood, and from 2005 Chairman of this company. In 2005 he was appointed President and CEO of Axel Johnson AB.

Mats Jansson was born in 1951 in Kolsva, central Sweden. He is married to Karin and they have four daughters. The family lives in Stockholm.
