The 74th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit (AGM) will take place in Sydney, Australia, 3-5 June 2018.
The IATA AGM is a unique opportunity for global and industry media representatives to hear and interact with the industry’s senior leaders.
This year’s AGM takes place at a time when airlines are doing better than at any time in their history. This will be the fourth consecutive year in which earnings will exceed the cost of capital. However, it is also a period of rising challenges, including digital disruption, data protection, cyber threats, and renewed trade protectionism in some markets. These subjects, and others, are on the agenda at the 74th AGM.
Highlights will include keynote presentations and panels covering the industry’s most important issues:
- The IATA Director General’s Report on the Industry
- Updated Airline Economic Outlook
- CEO Insight Debate
- Fighting Human Trafficking
- Harnessing the Power of Data
- Opening Press Conference
A series of special media briefings will accompany the main program commencing Sunday afternoon (3 June) and ending with the closing press conference on Tuesday (5 June). IATA experts will be available for interviews by appointment throughout the event.
Check the preliminary Media Agenda for an overview of the sessions.
