John Darbo’s Quality Management System (QMS) experience encompasses both aviation operations and intellectual property development and production. He has organized, successfully registered and maintained three ISO 9001:2000 processes, functioning in both arenas.
John is presently Vice President of Business Development and Technology for Curt-Lewis & Associates, LLC, based in the DFW, Texas area.
Through his career, Mr. Darbo has been involved in both military and civil aviation activities. He has managed various phases of general and air carrier aviation from air traffic controller to Line Pilot, and Operations Vice President of an airline. His responsibilities included the quality of operations and related functions including flight, maintenance and customer service activities on a world-wide scale.
John is a graduate of the Northrop Institute of Technology, Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic course with studies in aircraft maintenance engineering technology. He holds various safety and quality certifications from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Georgetown University, and other professional, governmental and industry organizations.
He holds FAA Airline Transport Pilot, Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Flight and Ground Instructor licenses and has been designated as a FAA Pilot Examiner and Safety Counselor. He currently serves as Treasurer of the DFW Chapter of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.
