Young Aviation Professionals

Three of aviation’s leading global organizations:

  • the International Air Transport Association (IATA)
  • the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
  • the Airports Council International (ACI)

have joined forces to support the development of tomorrow's leaders of the Air Transport Industry through the Young Aviation Professionals Programme.

The selected Young Aviation Professionals will have the opportunity to work on projects concerning aviation safety, security, environment and/or economics, focusing on inter-relationships between regulatory activities and the airline and airport industries.  During the twelve month program, each Young Aviation Professional will be engaged in three assignments of four months each at IATA, ICAO and ACI.

Each Young Professional will have individual mentors from the partner organizations.  Regular performance feedback will be provided both during and at the end of each assignment.

A monthly fixed amount of 4,000 CAD will be provided as financial support.  Upon successful conclusion of the program, the Young Aviation Professionals will be retained on a roster for consideration for potential future employment opportunities with the partner organizations.
