This month:

IATA's Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Simplifying the Business has been busy preparing for IATA's Annual General Meeting next June 3-5 in Vancouver, Canada. The industry status will be presented to the Board of Governors together with the feedback from the airlines gathered in the last e-ticketing campaign last month. It will surely be a historic event for the Simplifying the Business programme, IATA and the future of the industry. More news on the AGM coming mid-June!

June 1st, 2007- Electronic ticket as a default

"In accordance with IATA Resolutions, effective 1 June 2007, if the itinerary to be ticketed is e-ticket eligible and it is technically and/or procedurally feasible, it is mandatory to issue an e-ticket and NOT a paper ticket."

This message, which responds to last year's decision by the Joint Passenger Services Conference, will be distributed by major GDS to remind their subscribers of this important change.
