Airport Cash Services

IATA is presently working towards the launch of a pilot for a proposed new industry service. Its aim is to assist airlines in standardising and centralising the collection of their cash proceeds at airport locations.

A select group of airlines has been invited to participate in the pilot and IATA is currently receiving responses. The pilot is planned for early 2008 and will cover selected international airports only. Airline feedback and level of interest will be monitored during the three-month pilot, with a final decision on the viability of a full service launch to be examined by IATA and the service provider shortly thereafter.
