New CASS-Airline Global Deals Leveraged by ICCS
Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS) and the IATA Currency Clearance Services (ICCS) have joined forces to boost airline participation in their systems.
Traditionally, an airline’s decision to join a CASS has been a separate decision from that of contracting ICCS cash management services to have those collected funds repatriated to their home markets. In spite of their complementary features, CASS and ICCS had not yet teamed up.
However, over the last two years, the CASS network has grown from 40 to 66 countries, and greater airline participation is a must in these new operations. While airlines have traditionally joined CASSes country by country, they could tap into the range of CASS operations worldwide.
To facilitate this, CASS Business Development and ICCS have teamed up to provide a more systematic package approach so airlines can enjoy CASS in a pre-defined set of countries backed by ICCS.
This has yielded a true "win-win-win" solution for airlines and IATA's CASS and ICCS.
