IATA Director General and CEO Tony Tyler urged air travel stakeholders to work together to deliver greater value to passengers. “We have always thought of ourselves as a service industry and we have done a superb job of it, supported by harmonized processes and global standards. But we need to remember that our passengers are focused on value. We must continuously examine, modernize and evolve to ensure that what we see as service means value to our customers.” Tyler cited initiatives such as NDC, Fast Travel and the vision for travel in 2020 described in the StB White Paper as adding value to air travel.


2013 IATA Global Passenger Survey

Nearly 8000 air travelers from 140 countries participated in the second edition of the IATA Global Passenger Survey, a survey conducted through social media channels showing the different trends of today's passengers.

Did you know that at least 71% of passengers visited more than one travel website prior to making a purchase?
