"Unisys has enjoyed a long and rewarding membership in the IATA Strategic Partnerships program, since it’s inception in 1990 as IATA Partnership Programmes.  Our membership in this partnership program has been the backbone of our successful relationship with our airline and airport customers.  Each year, representatives from Unisys attend over 25 IATA meetings and conferences, taking part in the design of new procedures and message standards.  The value in our participation is the assurance that new industry standards are compatible with Unisys transportation products, and that our Unisys transportation products keep up-to-date with industry standards.  This gives our customers the value they seek in our transportation products.  Our membership keeps us aware of new trends in the industry before they happen, and we are therefore better prepared to adapt Unisys products to the new standards.  We look forward to continuing our IATA Strategic Partnerships membership well into the future."

As a leading innovator in technology to improve flight safety, Honeywell is a long time supporter of, and participates in, many of the IATA Safety activities.  Being a member in the Strategic Partnership program has encouraged collaboration and sharing of ideas on improving flight safety collectively and individually from other IATA members and other partner members.

BOC Aviation, one of the world’s leading aircraft lessors with a global customer base, has been an IATA Strategic Partner since 2001. We have found that as an organization that represents our customers, IATA provides reliable, accurate and timely information on the aviation industry.
The IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) presents a unique opportunity for us to promote our company to our target customers and at the same time, update our key suppliers of developments in BOC Aviation.

Thales, a leading electronics solutions and avionics systems provider, has been an IATA Strategic Partner since 2003. The main reasons for being a member of the IATA Strategic Partnerships are:

  • to understand industry issues facing operational airlines,
  • to network with airline high level management,
  • to have access to feedback on the airline community trends and future growth aspirations of the airline industry,
  • to be involved in providing solutions links with issues and future trends.

This membership has helped Thales to raise its profile among the airline community as a tier-one solution and electronics systems provider in the arenas of aerospace (cockpit and cabin electronics), air traffic management and systems, training and simulation and importantly security solutions.

It is important for SITA to be at the forefront of technologies that transform the way the air transport industry works. Playing a major role in IATA’s Strategic Partnerships (SP) program helps us to do this, because the program provides a forum that brings together a large cross section of industry players to understand and tackle the issues facing the industry.

Through work groups, task forces and projects within the program, SITA is able to interact with other air transport industry experts to deal with the issues and challenges we face together, and to pool our knowledge to discuss and propose solutions that will enable sustainable improvement across the industry. Our participation in IATA’s SP program also means we can play a key role in developing and driving the standards that simplify communications and processes across the air transport community through the effective use of information and communications technology.

The IATA Annual General Meeting provides IBM with a unique opportunity to strengthen our relationships with the senior executives from member airlines. The IATA team always provides compelling insights about the current state of the industry and the outlook for the future of aviation, which helps IBM develop innovative solutions for our airline clients. The collegial atmosphere of the AGM promotes interaction that benefits both the airlines and IATA's Strategic Partners. The agenda topics are very relevant to the industry's challenges, and in particular the CEO Forum provides thought leadership from industry leaders.  IBM values our partnership with IATA and the AGM is the most tangible manifestation of that value.
