Environment Advocacy Actions

In addition to our efforts at global level, for example on the development of a global market-based measure for aviation, IATA is engaged at local level to ensure proportionate and coherent policies are implemented to address environmental issues in a cost-effective manner.

Some of our current advocacy actions include:

• Colombia: Night restrictions at Bogota airport
• EU: Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Directive
• Italy: IRESA - regional noise tax
• Spain: NOx tax in Catalonia
