- An excellent analytical reference for carrying out extensive financial benchmarking of key performance indicators, against current and prospective competitors, across route areas, by class of service and aircraft type. In particular, it allows airlines to examine cost structures at a route area level
- An excellent analytical reference for carrying out
a wide variety of profitability analyses to be undertaken such as:
- monitoring of competitive advantage
- staff and fleet productivity
- route area planning and profitability studies
- comparison of cost allocation procedures
- Analysis of the data allows airlines to react to changes in the air transport environment by enabling them to examine passenger and cargo yield developments at a route area level.
Summary AETF data is available publicly through IATA's annual Airline Economic Results and Prospects publication and online, through IATA's Global Aviation Business Intelligence (GABI).
