IATA's Freight Forecast 2007-2011 is provided in two parts:
- Part 1, Summary Report - To understand future demand patterns and minimize investment risks, there are analyses that summarise the key trends for freight traffic at the global, region and route area level, including: Historic market developments, Market summary for 2006 and Market trends for 2007-2011.
- Part 2, Forecasts 2007-2011 - For a sound reference base for your own freight flows projections, detailed growth and volume forecast tables of inbound and outbound freight are provided at the global, regional and country level. There is five years of forecast information for: 6 world regions, 17 world sub regions, 699 country to sub-region forecasts, PLUS forecasts for the top 500 international country pairs (both directions and by direction). This information is supplemented by rankings of countries and sub regions by 1) freight tonnes in 2006 2) average annual growth rates for the period 2007-2011 (AAGR) & 3) growth in freight tonnes for 2007-2011.
As the budget process continues, you’ll need the most recent industry data to make your figures as accurate as they can be. IATA’s Freight Forecast has just been updated, for the period 2007-2011, and is now available.
