Standard Schedules
Information Manual
(SSIM)

The purpose of the Manual is to establish a set of common standards for external exchanges. It does not set out to dictate how airlines, or other organisations should handle their own internal schedule information.

To achieve standardisation in technique, format and construction, this manual includes all relevant IATA standards and recommended common practices, including those of the ATA/IATA Reservations Interline Message Procedures - Passenger (AIRIMP).  The SSIM standards are developed and maintained by the Schedules Information Standards Committee (SISC) and meets prior to the Schedules Conference twice yearly.

This manual is published twice a year: in March (Book and CD-ROM included) and in October (only on CD-ROM).

Additional service

  •  Free notification of updates to the Passenger Terminal Indicators of Appendix D, as well as UTC/Local Time Comparisons of Appendix F.
  •  SSIM Appendices now sold separately: A (ATA/IATA Aircraft Types), Appendix D (Passenger Terminal Indicators) and Appendix F (UTC/Local Time Comparisons).
