How many times can I install the TACT CD?
  • TACT CD is a single user application. The license agreement stipulates that the application may be used on one PC Multiple installments would breech the agreement

Is there a network application available?

  • The development of a network application is considered.

What application should I use to optimize the usage of TACT Data?

  • Most of the current TACT Data users have cargo systems in place developed by local software houses. The up-load function for cargo rates and charges is just one of the features of such a system. If no specific software is available, TACT Data can be easily imported in Excel or an Access Database.

I have paid my last invoice by credit card. Will I automatically be debited for the next year's invoice?

  • No, credit card payments always need to be authorized by you.

When I purchase the TACT Data data, can I then forward it to other parties?

  • No, TACT Data is to be used only for in-house purposes by the company that purchased the data.

In what format is the TACT Data available?

  • TACT Data is available in a standard format and a choice of two record layouts. The data can be delivered with or without Character Return Linefeed (CRLF); 150 - character layout mostly used by airlines or 80 - character layout mostly used by cargo agents / forwarders.

Is it possible to test the data in connection with my company software?

  • Yes, sample data is available, free of charge, upon request.

Can I increase or reduce my subscription during the subscription period?

  • You can always increase your subscription, but never reduce the subscription during the season.

What does TACT Data cost?

  • This depends on the requirements of your company. TACT Data can be worldwide or tailored to your company's needs.  Frequency of  data delivery may also vary according to your requirements. To obtain a price quote based on your requirements, please contact our sales department at tactsales.indp@iata.org The sample files are mostly free of charge, however shipping costs may apply when shipped by Courier.

I have already paid my bill and I received a reminder. How is that possible ?

  • If you didn' t mention both the invoice number and relation number with your payment, it is sometimes impossible to trace the name of the account .Consequently, the invoice will be marked unpaid and deliveries suspended.

After installing my TACT CD, I get a registration number error message. What can I do?

  • Verify that you copied the passwords EXACTLY as they were given to you
    Check control panel / Regional Settings / Date Tab / Date Separator must be / (forward slash)

Do I have to attach a payment when I send in an order form ?

  • If you do not opt for payment by credit card, you will receive an invoice before the subscription is activated.

I want to terminate my subscription during the subscription period. Can I get a refund for the remaining period?

  • The subscription period is from January until and including December. there are no refunds for any portion of the period.

I currently use the TACT Manuals . Is it possible to have the same coverage as the TACT Manuals in electronic format?

  • Yes, TACT Data is available monthly, bi-monthly, every four months and once a year. At present, TACT Manuals are issued three times a year in February, June and October.
    Please note that the Rules section is not yet available in electronic format.

My in-house system can be connected to the Internet. Can we display the rates information that we receive from TACT Data on our company's Internet site?

  • While we do recognize that Internet business is growing, there are some security concerns that must be addressed in individual cases. We are examining each company's request related to an Internet display individually. To obtain specific information, please contact IATA Rates Information System.

When I transfer the amount of money, what do I have to mention?

  • Always include: The invoice number and the relation number.

Do I have to attach a payment when I send in an order form ?

  • If you do not opt for payment by credit card, you will receive an invoice before the subscription effectuates.

How many times a year appears the TACT CD?

  • The TACT CD appears 6 times a year.

If I order TACT Data today, how long would it take to receive my first delivery?

  • TACT Data is issued every month, so an up-to-date file can be made available very quickly. For more than 90% of new clients,  the first delivery is sent the same week that the order is placed.

I want to terminate my subscription during the subscription period. Can I get refund for the remaining period?

  • The subscription period is from April until and including March. After paying your invoice it is not possible to get your money back.

If my payment has not been credited and I received a reminder, how do I resolve the problem?

  • If you paid by bank transfer, we require a copy of your bank statement. If you paid by credit card, we require details of your credit card, or a copy of your bill. If you paid by cheque, we require a copy of the cancelled cheque. After receiving proof of payment, we will update our records and resume delivery.

I know the TACT is published in February, June and October. When I order an edition for example in March, when can I expect delivery?

  • The standard procedure is that you will receive the June TACT, unless you specifically ask for the February TACT. If the earlier edition is in stock, we require payment prior to shipment.  

Can I switch from TACT Manuals to TACT CD?

  • During the subscription period a Manual subscription can be changed into an equal number of TACT CD subscriptions. The difference between the TACT Manuals fee and the CD-ROM fee will be settled accordingly. This also applies to changing from CD-ROM to Manuals.

How will the TACT CD be delivered?

  • The TACT CD will be sent by public mail around the 12th day of the month prior to the effectiveness of the TACT CD edition.
