Iberia receives BIP certificate
 |
Rafael Sánchez-Lozano, CEO of Iberia received a certificate for the airline’s participation in the Baggage Improvement Program at their hub, Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD). |
Mr Sánchez-Lozano stated “this certificate strengthens the commitment we have with our customers to manage luggage properly, which is a key aspect of their travel experience".
The initial BIP diagnosis visit at Madrid-Barajas Airport took place back in 2009. The IATA BIP team recently conducted a second diagnosis visit to validate the performance improvements and to identify additional areas for the airline to improve. Iberia’s commitment to BIP has been acknowledged - several recommendations have been implemented which has contributed to more than 35% reduction in the travel time of the local baggage from the satellite terminal (T4S).*
