Innovate together: Greater value. A better experience – WPS 2012
The second edition of the World Passenger Symposium (WPS), a unique event that will bring together the entire passenger value chain, will take place in Abu Dhabi on 16 – 18 October 2012 at the Jumeirah Etihad Tower.
Following on last year’s success, WPS will cover the transformation already happening in the industry in the areas of Distribution and Passenger Experience. Delegates will have the opportunity to listen and engage with panelists and keynote speakers. They will hear first-hand the 2012 findings of the StB Think Tank, and benefit from a unique networking opportunity.
Few tips on the agenda:
The symposium will open with a Welcome Address by James Hogan, President and CEO of Etihad Airways followed by a Keynote Address from Tony Tyler, IATA's Director General and CEO. Afterwards, leaders from the industry such as Willie Walsh, CEO of International Airlines Group and John S. Pistole, Administrator, United States Transportation Security Administration, among others, will be participating at the CEO panel that will focus on distribution, hassle-free travel, and seamless end to end customer journey.
The event will present two streams: profit and customer. While the profit stream will be focusing on the new distribution model, ancillaries and revenue management, the customer stream will be highlighting the initiatives and solutions that will enable the passenger to have more control of their journey.
The closing plenary will take place on 18 of October and will provide the audience with a regional perspective as well as with the most recent updates from the StB Think Tank – the new programs that will contribute to transform the industry over the next two to five years.
