Thank you for a great 2011!
The e-freight figures were recently published for 2011 revealing that the project surpassed the IATA board target for the year.
It was an ambitious year for the e-freight worldwide community with a target of 10% penetration on trade lanes that went live at the end of 2010. By December 2011, the target was successfully achieved with 11.14% penetration surpassing the set target. Congratulations to all stakeholders who contributed to e-freight and enabled the adoption and implementation of this industry-wide initiative.
Looking forward to 2012
In 2012 the project focus will be on fine-tuning e-freight in current live locations, lobbying for new countries that are of global importance to our stakeholders and offering the industry 50% airline capacity enabled in a number of important airports for the development of the e-freight project.
