The first in a series of four IATA e-services/EMD workshops was held in Madrid this month. With 120 delegates from 60 airlines and 17 system providers/GDSs, the event was a great success. The level of participation demonstrates the industry’s high level of mobilization and motivation towards meeting the 2012 Board target of 100% EMD capability.

The feedback showed delegates’ enthusiasm for the content, the speakers and the workshop format. A balanced agenda of formal presentations and panel discussions catered to all levels of EMD expertise. The possibility of discussing questions with IATA experts in one-on-one sessions was also very much appreciated.
