This spring has been busy for the IATA InBag team.
On 27 March, IATA ran two InBag general webinar sessions followed by the Permanent Tag sub-group meeting, held in Geneva for the first time in April.
This sub-group of the Baggage Working Group consists of IATA member airlines with previous experience in permanent tag solutions. In the near future, the group will open to airports and IATA Strategic Partners as well.
The Passenger and Baggage Regional workshop are being held in Prague (11-12 of June).
IATA subject matter experts will take this opportunity to cover all aspects of the Simplifying the Business program related to passenger and baggage initiatives. There will be a special focus on how to implement these initiatives while complying with local rules and legislation.
The InBag team has been running a campaign to reinforce and support the implementation of new Resolution 751. This means that as of 1st June 2013, all stakeholders involved in the baggage supply chain will have to use the correct 10 digit format of bag tag.
