Transformation through innovation

The focus of WCS14

The importance for our industry to embrace innovation will be the central topic for the eighth edition of the World Cargo Symposium (WCS) on the 11-13 of March. For the first time it will take place in the USA, recognizing the relevance of Los Angeles as a cargo hub: its international airport ranks 14th in the world by tons of cargo processed.

WCS 2014 will address industry challenges, such as:

  • Predictability, the ability to enhance innovation and future investments to ensure sustainable growth
  • Liberalization and trade facilitation to increase the competitiveness of air cargo
  • Efficiency and quality to satisfy the end customer

Moving the industry from talk to action

We expect a thousand professionals from the whole supply chain to share their passion to participate and influence the industry.

Hosted by American Airlines, the next WCS will hold a full-day Opening Plenary on 11 March and a Closing Plenary on 13 March. The two sessions will feature high-level speakers discussing essential priorities for the whole cargo supply-chain.

In addition, the three-day event will contain the Cargo Executive Summit (CES), the Future Air Cargo Executive Summit (FACES) and fifteen specialized track sessions. These half-day interactive sessions will provide delegates with the latest updates and the opportunity to engage and debate with key industry leaders.

Connect with your peers

The WCS creates a world-class forum for delegates to expand their network and be open to new opportunities. The event brings professionals and key decision makers from 90 different countries. Last edition achieved a 99% satisfaction level across delegates.

To maintain such high quality, the L.A edition will incorporate new features for networking, such as special designed meeting points and hospitality suites. The goal is to ensure that no participants leave the WCS without bringing back home a portfolio of new potential business partners and solutions.
