Are You Feeling Lost with Cargo Security Requirements?

"The Air Cargo Tariff and Rules" is the essential guide to be up-to-date on the latest regulatory requirements, rates and charges from all around the world. Its coverage of the global air cargo industry makes TACT Rules the definitive reference tool for airlines, forwarders, agents, customs authorities and airports.

Find your way through the security jungle

In a world of ever-changing regulations, air cargo professionals need to keep up with an increasing number of security regimes and requirements (and acronyms). This is quite a challenge, especially when the regulations differ from one country to another.

The October 2013 edition of TACT Rules expands its focus on security with an overview of the international instruments and supply chain security programs relevant in international air cargo operations. This includes:

The new TACT edition also displays the full list of Authorized Economic Operation (AEO) programs.

Local security information

One of the added values of TACT Rules is to provide country-by-country information on airport facilities, documentary requirements for import, export and transit, restrictions and prohibitions. More than 200 countries are covered in the manual.

With the new focus on Security, TACT Rules also documents local security requirements and status. For instance, the latest Secure Freight status is given for each of the countries involved in this IATA program. In addition, TACT Rules provides information about available security facilities (e.g. storage, escort or screening facilities) and applicable charges, as well as carrier specific security fees, if applicable.

Closely linked to security matters, the provision of advance notice of import and export are increasingly requested by local authorities. TACT Rules therefore includes Advanced Electronic Information (AEI) requirements and e-Customs information by country. Also, it offers an up-to date overview picture of AEI conditions for more than 60 States, a number that grows with each edition.
