How to Apply/Renew

To streamline the application process, an Online Platform is now available for agents to submit their application and payment. Whether it is a new application, renewal or replacement of your ID Card, the Online Platform serves as the gateway to all your ID Card needs.

Three steps to obtain your IATA/IATAN ID Card

Required documents

Please ensure to have the following document for all types of applications
Digital Photo
(optional for renewal & replacement application)
  • Taken in the last 12 months, to reflect your current appearance
  • Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
  • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera, no profiles
  • No hats or sunglasses
  • Must be at least 300 pixels wide by 400 pixels high


Proof of Employment Accepted documents are:
  • Official letter of attestation produced by your Travel Agency stating your current employment status and signed by agency’s owner/manager
  • Pay stub
  • Agency disbursement records
  • Must be in .PDF format

For change of name, you will also need
Proof of Name Change Accepted documents are:
  • Marriage certificate
  • Passport
  • Driver's license
  • National Identify Card

Warning: False declaration will lead to the cancellation and blacklisting of the ID Card.

Accepted methods of payment

The price of the ID Card may range between USD 30.00 and USD 70.00 depending on the class of Agency you work for (Additional courier fees may apply). All fees, as listed in the application, are non refundable. Payment must be made in ID Card Portal using either:
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
Note: Agents in the following countries may choose payment by bank transfer:

A proof of payment must be submitted with online application. Failure to submit all the required documents will result a delay or rejection on the application.
