FIRST & FINAL Interline Billing Service

The First & Final Interline Billing Service provides accurate coupon values for Interline Billing and Settlement. The billed coupon values are validated allowing acceptance without audit, which eliminates the rejection process. Therefore, “First” time billings are “Final”.

The concept was based on the ability to uplift interline coupons, and bill the issuing airline in a single pass using industry-agreed coupon values. These coupons are determined by a Neutral Fare Proration (NFP) engine. No rejection process is therefore necessary and airlines are able to bill and settle almost instantly, without delays, disputes or retrospective revenue adjustments.

First & Final allows airlines to know their interline revenues early and accurately. Settlement is fast and guaranteed, and revenue adjustments due to repeated rejections and re-billings become a thing of the past. Management information and reporting is enhanced by the comprehensiveness, speed and accuracy of the data, and effort in revenue accounting departments can be focused on more productive activity.

First & Final will become an integral part of the Simplified Interline Settlement (SIS) project.
