Old Idec and downconverted Iced in separate files

Dear Sirs,
Question 1.We just want to confirm is it possible to receive old-IDEC and downconverted IDEC in separate physical files, or are old-IDEC and downconverted IDEC in the same file.
Question 2. If our company is not able to finnish the Member Profile before Oct2011 period 1, which Idec we'll receive?
Thank's!
Marjo

Dear Marjo,

Please find the answers to your questions as follows:

(1) Yes – you can receive a merged file with old IDEC down-converted billings (from your migrated partners) and old IDEC billings (from your non-migrated partners) if you select the Down-Converted IS Transactions to Old IDEC option in your Member Profile -> Passenger tab. Please note that this option is checked by default for all current IDEC users.

Please also consult the Member Profile template v1.1 for more details.

(2) As stated in the September bulletin (issue 3), we recognise that some participants might sign the IS Participation Agreement after go-live with effective date of the SIS go-live date, so to ensure the members will still get the data in the right format from day one, SIS Operations will set-up as YES in Member Profile for the airlines the following options for the Output Files as a billed entity non-migrated:

-         All formats for output file (IS-IDEC, IS-XML, Down Converted IS Transactions To Old IDEC Format)

-         BVC Details Report (F&F carriers)

-         Offline Archiving (OAR zip files)

Hope this clarifies.

Best regards,

Ashley

Dear Ashley,
Thank you for the reply, sorry but we still have to clarify this Idec file matter.
-Is it possible to have all those 3 different IDEC files separately; IS-IDEC, old-IDEC (without downconverted migrated material) and Downconverted old-IDEC (migrated and non migrated material together in the same file).
Thank's again!

Dear Marjo,

No – if you choose to receive old IDEC down-converted, then this data will be merged with the old IDEC (from non-migrated carriers) in the same file. Please see the ISPG v3.2, Section 11.3.4.1/Downgrade of IS-Format data to Old IDEC format for further details on this.

Rgds,

Ashley
