Pilot Testing - lesson from first two weeks

The June SIS Bulletin advised the scheduled start date for Pilot Testing was July 12th. Can you please provide an update on how the first two weeks of Pilot Testing has gone? What issues have been encountered by the Pilot carriers during the testing? Have any common issues with Pilot carriers' data been identified?

I am looking for any "learnings" from Pilot phase that can be shared with industry, especially early adopters so that we can make necessary adjustments to our software and/or preparation for sandbox and certification testing.

As the sandbox will be opened to non-Pilot carriers from 8 August (after successful connectivity testing), we are very keen to receive feedback from pilot phase now before we commence our sandbox testing in early August.

Can a weekly update/summary be provided to industry on progress of Pilot testing, with emphasis on key learnings that non-pilot carriers should pay attention to in their software development and preparation for sandbox and certification testing?

Thanks
Konda\QF

Dear Konda,

Regarding Sandbox, the Aug 8th date is the scheduled date for connectivity testing. Sandbox testing is scheduled for the week after - Aug 15th.

Pilot Testing will start on Jul 25th; although this is a a delay, we still expect to meet the Sep 2011 go-live date. In so far as 'learnings', we are putting together the data from experiences during the Pilot Sandbox Testing. We will also continue to do this during Pilot Testing itself and publish it as soon as possible.

Best regards

Hi

understood re start dates for connectivity and sandbox testing.

Re the pilot 'learnings', my point is that this information is needed by industry as soon as SIS project & pilots become aware of it (within a day or two), throughout the pilot phase. Publishing a document in second half of August or later is too late.

As an early adopter, we are completing our system development and business readiness without any of the SIS project support provided to pilots with aim of hitting Sandbox around 15 August and making the Sep 2011 go-live date. The only information we are working from is the SIS project published materials (ISPG, Sign-Up Guide, etc) and clarifications and updates from SIS Forum.

So if there are any lessons to be learned from Pilot phase, we need it immediately.

As a member of the Clearing House, we need to be given the same opportunity as any other carrier, including the pilot carriers, to meet the SIS go-live date. If we are not given this opportunity,  then we need to discuss the SIS go-live date.
Feedback from pilot phase that affects the certification of our IS-IDEC is a critical part of that opportunity.

The SIS go-live date is for industry not just the pilot carriers.

Another week has passed, and we have received no useful information from the pilot phase.

When can we expect it?
