Uploding of line items to SIS vs excel attachment

Dear IATA,

If I know well if you are already a migrated carrier you can also choose that option to upload manually your outcomig data to IS-WEB page. I would like to estimate the necessary time need of this option and I need an answer that in case of manual uploading how you have to handle your line item details. I mean all your line item details have to be put into SIS as part of your invoice or it is a possibility to attach an excel sheet from your line item details as supporting document and in the latter case I only upload the general invoice header data.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best Regards,
András

Dear Andras,

First of all, it is not possible to upload line item details through Excel – all Miscellaneous invoice information will need to be provided in (1) IS-XML format or (2) manually capturing via IS-Web.

If you upload IS-XML files, all the information has to be loaded in a manner that the billed party can automatically reconcile. (Based on structured data not unformatted scan or excel).

However, we are currently planning to provide a CSV (Excel) upload facility to help with transforming Excel files into IS-XML. This feature will be available for 12 charge codes. Please refer to the IS-Web Excel Upload and SIS Outputs presentation from the ICH User Group in October 2011 for more information on this functionality.

Kind regards,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

With reference to your statement "we are currently planning to provide a CSV (Excel) upload facility to help with transforming Excel files into IS-XML. This feature will be available for 12 charge codes. Please refer to the IS-Web Excel Upload and SIS Outputs presentation from the ICH User Group in October 2011 for more information on this functionality." ... can you please advise if the same ability will be available for class 'C', i.e. Cargo billings?

If not, then should not the same functionality be extended to cargo invoicing too, whereby, carriers who opt for IS-Web can upload the invoice details (individual transactions) through xls or csv file in a predetermined format.

Thanks.

Hi Zarir,

We do not have plans to provide an Excel upload facility for CGO billings. If you would like to request for this feature, please create a SIS Help Desk case and log this request under the Type ‘Feature Request’. This will then go through the Change Management Process and SIS Operations will notify you of the outcome of the discussion.

Kind regards,

Ashley

Thanks Ashley ... have done the needful. Will wait for the response. By the way, any idea how much time it would take for the decision?
Thanks,
Zarir
