When the Old Idec as to be sent
Dear SIS team,
We have planned to migrate to SIS in P03.
Our question is :
For P01 and P02 we have to generate the Old Idec.
But when have we to send it to IATA?
At the end of the P02 or at the end of the month in P04 as currently.
Many thanks for your answer |

Dear Jacques, The old IDEC is sent from ATPCO to the billed carriers. Old IDEC files are sent monthly. Thank you Ashley,
what about the airlines which have not signed the ISPA ? What will happen when we will be migrated ?
=> We will include their invoices in the IS-IDEC file and you will forward them the invoices as down-converted whereas they didn't sign the ISPA ?? Many thanks.
Jacques.

Hi Jacques, If a migrated carrier sends invoices to non-migrated carriers that have NOT signed the ISPA, these invoices will be converted to down-graded old IDEC format and sent by ATPCO to these carriers. Please note that this will only be until Sep 2012 when old IDEC discontinues. Dear Ashley
Following your answer to Jacques below, I would like to get a confirmation on your answer as I need to contact the concerned airlines to be billed by AF once we will migrate to SIS. A non migrated airline that has NOT signed the ISPA will received "Down Converted Records" in its OLD IDEC file to be sent by ATPCO for AF billing to this airline included in the IS-IDEC file.
I was surprised by your answer as in the SIS Profile and User Management, in order to receive "Down converted records" in your output file, you need to tick the box : "Down Converted IS transaction to Old Idec Format". In my understanding, if an airline has not signed the ISPA, it cannot access to SIS to make this update. Does it mean that by default, all current IDEC members receive "Down Converted Records"?
May be, I am missing something...
Thanking you in advance for your help
Best regards

Hi Gilles, SIS has set (by default) the Down Converted IS transaction to Old Idec Format box as ‘selected’ for all airlines in SIS, regardless of whether or not they have signed the ISPA. This is because, as you correctly said, airlines that have not signed the ISPA will not be able to tick this box. So for SIS members who can access their Member Profiles, we have (since before SIS go-live) ask that they review this option and unselect as they so choose, as some airlines do not want to receive the duplicate billings in down-converted IDEC format (whereas others may do, to have a back-up set of data). I hope this explanation is clear. Dear Ashley,
We generated our last old-IDEC file for the P1 of March 2012 just before migrate SIS.
We would like to know if it is best to send the IDEC file now to ATPCO or to wait for the P4 of March to send it?
Thank you for your help,
Best Regards,

Dear Sandrine, You should send the IDEC file to ATPCO according to the dates stipulated in the RAM CHAPTER B9— INTERLINE DATA EXCHANGE CENTRE (IDEC) AGREEMENTS AND PROCEDURE. As mitigation you can wait for P4 March. In general, please make sure that the OLD IDEC file does not include transactions also submitted through SIS.
