Sponsored Members
I have a question concerning Sponsored Members:
is there any possibility to recognize in an incoming IS-XML invoice that the invoice was issued by a sponsored member and will be settled by the parent airline?
Example:
A1 is sponsoring A2
B1 receives an invoice from A2
ICH settles between A1 and B1
So B1 does not see a connection between A1 and A2 in the invoice but has to have them linked within the in-house system? Is that correct?
Thank you very much
Best Regards

Dear Sonja, When invoices are issued by a sponsored member with SMI=I, the settlement file sent will be associated with the sponsoring member, so that the settlement in the appropriate clearing house is made by the sponsoring member. This is known by the billed entities. The billed member will not see this indication on the IS-XML, however. This information is only reflected in the ICH claims.
