Value for MailCategory (MISC question)
Please refer to xml standard v3.0, line# 255, MailCategory. The possible values for this field are as below
A - Airmail or Priority mail
B - S.A.L. mail / Non-priority mail
C - Surface mail / Non-priority mail
D - Priority mail sent by surface transportation (optional code)
Shall we put the one-letter code in this field, or the full name in the field?
If full name is required, the last one (code D) exceeds AN25.
Please clarify. Thanks. |

Dear Binbin,
The record layout is limited to 25 Char so you can report anything in the field as long as the first character is the code A B C or D, if you report the full description it will be truncated.
As this is the technical field we need only the code not the description.
We will clarify it in the next release of the IS XML.
