ICH WEB

Dear Ashley,

We would like to refer to the last SIS Bulletin and specially the last paragraph : ICH Web Opt Out for migrated members. We would like to have more clarification about this issue.

For example : We are on May 2012, carrier A has not yet migrated to SIS for Miscellaneous billing. Carrier B has already migrated on P1 October 2011 as an early adopter.

Carrier A, of course, would prefer to continue to bill carrier B via ICh WEB until october 2012, but you were talking about an option for carrier B to opt out from ICH WEB ???
If carrier B are opting out from ICh WEB, should carrier A bill manually through ISWEB from P1 March 2012 (carrier B migrated on P1 Oct 2012) ????

Hi Zineb,

As carriers migrate to SIS, they would like to have eventually all their billings (both outward and inward) in SIS. Therefore this option is for migrated carriers to enforce all their inward billings to be made through SIS as opposed to the ICH Web.

So in your example, it is correct – if carrier B calls the option to opt out of the ICH Web, carrier A will need to start billing carrier B through SIS (using IS-Web) starting from October 2012. This is why it is important to note this so that all ICH members can make their plans accordingly.

Hope that clarifies.

Regards,

Ashley
