Guidance on populating IS-IDEC (record types)

Hello!  US Airways is in the process of mapping the old IDEC to the new IS-IDEC for Pax.  The IS-IDEC has 5 mandatory record types and 39 that are either conditional or optional.  Here is where we need some guidance and maybe other airlines will have some feedback.  Are there recommended conditional or optional record types that we should be populating?  The purpose of an IDEC is to provide our billed carriers the information they need to properly to pay their invoices (which the old IDEC provides).  Would it be satisfactory to only populate the mandatory record types?  I am sure we probably have to populate the coupon detail as well, but I'd like to flush out exactly what record types are needed.  Thank you in advance for any suggestions!  Jeff Britton / US Airways

Hi Jeff,

Conditional means that the record type must be populated if the condition has been satisfied elsewhere in the document.
E.g. SFI 41 Coupon Tax Breakdown - conditional on the Billed Coupon Tax value not equal to 0

Optional means that the record type should be populated if you have the pertinent data, or that it will automatically be filled in by SIS.
E.g. SFI 11/12 - which can be ruled from Reference Data

Hope this helps.
Best Regards
