Pre-cutover 3rd stage rejections

Need to understand the procedure for initiating correspondence against 3rd stage rejections recieved prior to SIS migration.

If I, as a carrier who migrates to SIS in October 2011, have received a 3rd stage rejection in August 2011, and I want to dispute the rejection using SIS, how can I do so?  It seems there would be no history of the preceding rejection trail in IS.  Can I begin correspondence ad-hoc in IS-Web?  Or should correspondence against existing rejections at cutover be performed using pre-SIS procedures?

Dear Lance,

Prior to go-live, correspondence should be solved outside SIS. As soon as a rejection is done through SIS then it must be responded to and/or corresponded via SIS.

Hope this clarifies.
Best regards

The logical question to ask next is; please clarify if pre-migration Prime billings can be rejected through SIS?

Dear Russell,

Yes, pre-migration Primes can be rejected through SIS. However, once this is done, further Rejections and Correspondence of the particular billing must be done in SIS.

Best regards

If a 3rd stage rejection was done outside of SIS, can we enter into correspondence using SIS?

or, must 3rd stage rejection have to have been done in SIS in order to correspond in SIS?

Hi Russell,

If the third rejection is outside of SIS, the correspondence cannot be initiated within SIS. It will have to be continued outside of SIS. No ad-hoc correspondence is allowed in SIS.

Best regards
