Batching

Passenger and Cargo require batch numbers for billing of documents.  The batch number is 5 numbers and the size can be up to 99,999.  Please confirm.  Additionally, are there other validation restrictions:  Do batch numbers need to be unique?  If so, what are the restrictions?  Do they just need to be unique within a period?  Do they need to be unique across all carriers?  Do they need to be unique between passenger and cargo?  Under what conditions can a batch number be duplicated?

Hi Lori,

Batch number are required for PAX and CGO and its field length is 5N which means the max value it can have is 99,999. The combination of Batch number and Sequence number within the Batch needs to be unique within an Invoice.

Batch numbers do not need to be unique within a period nor across all carriers nor b.w passenger and cargo.

However, batch numbers should not be duplicated within an invoice.
