Member Profile Passenger Detail: Sampling Carrier

Would populating the Member Profile - Passenger Detail - Sampling Section- Sampling Carrier Element with "Non Sample" absolve a Participant from both inward and outward sample billing? Meaning a carrier would not be responsible for sending or receiving sample billings?

Dear Laura,

This field on the Member Profile is for information purposes only.

If a carrier has signed the Sampling Agreement, it will have to comply with the requirements of that agreement. If a carrier plans to discontinue Sampling, the carriers will have to follow the procedure defined in the Sampling agreement to do so. Just by changing the field value on Member Profile to "Non Sample" will not address this issue.

Hope this clarifies.
Best regards
