VAT on a single coupon

Hi

A. Can a carrier bill VAT for a single coupon with the same VAT identifier more than once but with different VAT LABELS.

Example:

VAT on Gross with VAT LABEL GST

VAT on Gross with VAT LABEL IVS

If yes will the first one get reported under VAT Identifier (1) and the second one under VAT Identifier (2) if not how should it get reported.

B. Could you confirm if the number of Decimal places for VAT %, element 18 in PAX-Coupon VAT Brkdwn Rec is two or three since the same is not covered in the record structure.

Shankar,

A. If there are multiple VATs applicable on a particular amount, these can be reported in the VAT breakdown record. One instance of the VAT breakdown record support up to 2 VAT Breakdown details. In the case of more than 2 VAT Breakdowns exist then the VAT Breakdown record can be repeated.

There is no rule from IS point of view for the VAT labels or VAT Text to be different in such cases. As long as all required details are provided from a legal compliance point of view as well as sufficient information provided to the billed entity to evaluate the billing, it is fine for IS.

B. The VAT % field in IS-IDEC consists of 3 decimal places. This will be mentioned explicitly in the next ISPG release.

Best regards
