RM Number Length during Migration
Hi
This is in reference to the subject of RM number field length.
Currently we are generating RM numbers which has a length of 12 digits. As per ISPG the RM number length should 11 digits.
We will be making a change in Revenue Accounting System to be compliant with IS but during the migration phase we will have old RM’s which has a length of 12 digits and this number will have to be transmitted in the “Your Rejection Number” field for stage 2 and 3 rejections.
How this will get handled at IS end during migration or how a carrier should handle such situations.
Thanks
Shankar

Dear Shankar,
In case the RM raised outside of SIS has more than 11 characters, the carrier can provide the first 11 or the last 11 characters in the "Your Rejection Memo" field when raising 2nd or 3rd stage Rejection within IS.
In addition to this, the carrier should mention the complete RM number in the Reason Remarks section so that the billed carrier can relate to the actual non migrated RM referred.
Best regards
