AircraftRegistrationNo
Hi,
In the SIS P3 - IATA IS XML Invoice Standard v3.2.xls for AircraftRegistrationNo field (in most instances, but not all) the Value/Format Field reads " ... '0' (Numeric Zero) will also be allowed as substitution value". This is often despite the field sometimes being mandatory.
Please can you give the background to this - is there anything else we should know, as it is highlighted in yellow? Is the use of '0' a temporary solution or will it in time become mandatory to complete the field in full?
Thanks, Russell (BD) |

Hi Russell,
Substitution is allowed for mandatory fields only, and will be removed after a year.
When the field becomes absolutely mandatory (i.e. no substitution), you will have to populate it with an Aircraft Reg number here, if this is not done the invoice(s) will fail validation; if the wrong information is populated your billed partner may reject the invoice(s).
In general, this field is very important for all invoicing about maintenance.
In the IS-XML Invoice Standard 3.2, the value/format column for this field is highlighted yellow because we have made an amendment (in red) in this column to include an example of how to populate the AircraftRegistrationNo field. This is a way to quickly identify the changes made since the previous version of the document.
Hope this clarifies.
Best regards
