Handling both IS-IDEC and OLD IDEC
- As billed migrated party, we will receive 2 files
o one in new IS IDEC format from migrated carrier weekly
o one in old IDEC format from non migrated carrier monthly
- however, the old IDEC file format is not the same as what’s currently being processed, as referenced from pages 13 onwards from the ‘Technical Migration’ presentation at BJS workshop
- this means our system needs to process IS IDEC, as well as changed old IDEC file, so we effectively have to change the programs in 2 different ways, as the old programs would not recognise the changed old IDEC file |

Dear Kin Wong,
Yes, this is correct.
Your system must be able to process the OLD IDEC and the IS-IDEC until September 2012.
All carriers and providers have done this change and have set up their system in this way.
Best regards
