Cost of Supporting Document Transmission
Hello,
Page 20 of the Participation Agreement details the cost of supporting documents.
Please clarify, are supporting documents charged per kilobyte only once per transmission, or on a recurring basis (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly?) for the period of time that they are stored within the SIS document repository?
If the latter is true, is there an expectation that the Participant must maintain and delete supporting documents within IS-WEB to reduce their ongoing charge?
Thanks, Russell (BD) |

Hi Russell, Supporting Documents are charged on upload – so once per transmission. There is no additional storage charge. Supporting Documents will stay on IS-Web for 60 days. Rgds, Ashley

Ashley,
why would supporting documents be deleted after 60days? Our understanding was that they are available for all stages until the time limit for that transaction expires. This is required for processing of these items.
In our understanding the 60day limit applies to the output files from IATA (including ZIP file with suppdoc) but not the supporting documents which are available online and linked to a transaction.
Please advise.
Thanks
Claudia

Hi Claudia, To clarify, transactions data will remain in SIS for the entire period in which they can be rejected. Supporting documents, therefore, will remain in SIS until the validity of their linked transactions. What remains on SIS for 60 days are the output files generated by SIS – e.g. IS-IDEC/IS-XML zip files, Offline Archive Files, etc. Hope this clarifies your concerns. Regards, Ashley
