REJECT STAGE OF OUTSIDE TIME LIMITED 3RD REJECT

Dear Sir,
According to the RAM A10 5.2.1.4 exception, when "3rd rejeciton made by Airline B outside time limit may be rejected by Airline A and Airline B will have no further recourse". How should we provide the reject stage under this circumstance? Is it acceptable for 4th rejection? How SIS validate this if the reject stage 4 is acceptable? As I remeber that the "outside time limits billings" will not be failed for validation and only the vlidation flag will be prompted by SIS, so I believe the 4th rejection might be happened.

Dear Brenda,

If 3rd rejection is made outside of the time limit, this rejection will pass but it will be flagged as 'out of time limit' and it will be up to the receiving airline to accept this or not.

Best regards

Dear Brenda,

A further comment to my previous reply - the RAWG has discussed this topic at their 15 June 2011 meeting. Their recommendation on this topic is:

- These cases should only happen during the migration period of SIS. Afterwards, the 3rd rejection outside time limit would fail IS validation (during migration: these cases are only flagged).

- In case of “4th rejection” because the 3rd rejection was outside time limit:
--> use Billing Memo with reason code 8M (outside time limit billings). There should not be any rejection to these BM – however, the SIS system will not prevent it.

- In all other cases:
--> use Billing Memo with reason code 8Z (Others)

Hope this helps.

Best regards
