Prime Billing Time Limit Validation

Will IS validate Time Limits on Passenger and Cargo prime billings per RAM?  Can you please specify which particular source codes will be validated for time limits?
Replied by Ashley H on 2011-05-11 13:23:49
Dear Konda,

As agreed by the WG members, IS will not validate time limits on any Prime Billings. Therefore, IS will accept Prime Billings that are outside the time limits and it is up to the billed entity to decide whether or not to accept them.

This will also be further detailed in the next version of the ISPG.

Best regards

Hi

My understanding of section 3.3.3 of ISPG is that SIS will validate time limit for Prime and rejection. SIS will not throw billing outside time limit as error but will flag it as warning. SIS will accept billing outside time limit. On looking at the warning message, it is up to the billed carrier to take necessary action. Billed carrier may ask billing carrier to withdraw their billing outside time limit.

Pls reconfirm above understanding is now changed.

Rgds

Shankar

Dear Shankar,

As stated in the previous post, SIS will not validate time limits on Prime Billings. This will be made more explicit in Section 3.3.3 of ISPG 3.2.

Best regards

In looking at ISPG V3.2, section 3.3.3, it still states that SIS will validate time limits with no mention of prime billings.

Clarification still needed here.

Hi Lance,

According to the ISPG v3.2 that we released last week for download from the SIS website, Section 3.3.3/Detail Validation states:

SIS additionally flags certain transactions highlighted below which fail the validation process but does not mark these as errors.

1. Time Limit validation error: all transactions which fail the time limit check will be flagged by SIS. Note: SIS does not validate time limits related to Prime billing transactions.

2. Duplicate error: All transactions which SIS identifies as possible duplicates will also be marked in the output process.

The results of these checks are provided in the IS-Validation Flag field of IS-IDEC and ISValidationFlag element of IS-XML file.

Could it be that you have the earlier version of the ISPG 3.2 (released to Pilots for review), where this change was not yet made?

Best regards
