Dear Eleonora,
1. As a sponsored member, the parent is responsible for their settlements, and they will have an ICH agreement accordingly. The sponsored member will also need to sign an IS Participation Agreement themselves.
2. The implementation schedule could be different to the parent. It is really at the parent’s choice unless the sponsored member wants to do its own invoicing.
3. Sponsored members can stay outside of SIS as a paper member, but after 2013 the sponsorship process would fail, as no ICH Web settlement would be possible. If sponsored members want to do paper invoicing for settlement on a bilateral basis after that point, then neither ICH nor SIS are involved, and it is between them and their partners.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Ashley

If a sponsoring airline will join SIS, what rules are mandatory for its sponsored ground handling subsidiary? (Separate ISPA, member profile, different or same implementation schedule?) Is it possible to remain outside SIS for sponsored member, if they have agreements with SIS user airlines to keep on providing paper invoices and the payments are settled by bank transfers?
