sending of paper invoice

Dear All,

we have migrated miscellaneous invoices to SIS starting from ICH 201110 P1. Are we still obliged to send paper invoices to all the airlines or they have to download the documents directly from the IS-WEB?

Tks!

Hi Edoardo,

For Miscellaneous, ICH carriers are still obligated to send paper invoices for 90 days after the migration.

Regards,

Ashley

Hi, What about vice versa? How long is a misc-non-migrated carrier allowed to send paper invoices to a misc-migrated carrier? Rgds, Matti

Dear Matti,

There are several implications of migrating to SIS:

(1)  Migrated partners can cease the sending of paper after 90 days.

(2)  Migrated partners can also carry non-migrated transactions to SIS, which means the billed party (whether migrated or non-migrated) is required to respond through SIS.

(3)  Migrated partners may choose to exercise the option of blocking ICH Web F12 claims as early as Sep 2012 (please see the post Grace period for inward and outward billings in the Rules, Policies, and Codes discussion board for further details on this rule).

So the time period of how long a non-migrated carrier is allowed to send paper invoices may vary depending on the migrated partners that a non-migrated carrier works with.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

My company is Miscellaneous and we will not migrate to SIS before many of our customers whom we invoice. I need to clarify the last reply, where it was stated: "

So the time period of how long a non-migrated carrier is allowed to send paper invoices may vary depending on the migrated partners that a non-migrated carrier works with.".  Does this mean that it is necessary for us to arrange with each of our customers to allow us to continue sending paper invoices until we can migrate?  Also, are our customers who migrate before us expecting to communicate with us via IS-WEB, eventhough we will not migrate until a later date?

Thanks, Lee

Hi Lee,

Sorry for the delay in response to this query. As mentioned previously, migrated carriers may choose to opt out of the ICH Web as early as October 2012, which means from this point on their partners must bill them through SIS instead.

Starting from April 2012, migrated carriers have the choice of calling this option. If they choose to do so, they must provide a 6-month notice, which will be communicated via the ICH.

As for the time period in which you can still send paper to your customers, this will depend on your customers and should be discussed/agreed bilaterally.

Hope this clarifies.

Rgds,

Ashley
